Salvation vs Inheritance

Why the church always reverts back to a "salvation through works" doctrine. You should understand how you have an inheritance in heaven and how it has nothing to do with your salvation.

Salvation vs. Inheritance

Salvation is a free gift, Inheritance is your reward for righteous works. This is the simplicity of the truth and one can witness Yahushua trying to rightly divide and separate the two doctrines (of salvation and inheritance) when He was speaking to the crowd about what The Kingdom of Heaven is likened to:

In Luke 15:11-31, Yahushua teaches us about The Kingdom of Heaven using “the prodigal son” parable. The Father’s house is likened to a man with two sons. One son (the prodigal) runs away to use up what he had been given to enjoy a life of sin. After a lifetime of sin, this son repents and returns to the father’s house and his father welcomes him with rejoicing and celebration. The other son (the righteous son) is angry at news of this and asks why there is celebration for the prodigal son who had given his life over to sin, when he (the good son) had served his father and not transgressed his commands (righteous works). The father then says because you have always been with me “all that I have is yours” (Luke 15:31). When a father promises his son all he has, that is called an “inheritance”. Clearly, we see a picture of two believers, one who had chosen to walk in his own ways, according to his own flesh and lost his inheritance and the other who was diligent in obedience to the Father. One receives his free gift of salvation because he had no good works other than returning to his father but the other son, who is already saved, receives his reward for a righteous walk. All of heaven rejoices when a single soul is brought unto salvation, but those who know The Lord (meaning they have walked in His Ways) receive their reward. Our works follow us into eternity (Revelation 14:13) and it is the ONLY thing that follows us after death.

Let us take another look at this word “inheritance”: (1 Corinthians 6:9) “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of Elohim. Do not be deceived neither those who whore, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers shall inherit the Kingdom of Elohim

As we see in scripture here, according to the standard that Christ set, if our salvation was dependent on our own works, then every one of us would be headed for Hell. Jesus set the standard for adultery when He said that even looking at another woman with lust is already adultery. One can see the picture here that there is a walk to walk, in cleaning ourselves up, even unto our thoughts until they are all held captive unto the obedience of Christ. This is possible and I have spent years in training, learning to clean my every thought so that not even lust is allowed to enter in. It has been about 10 years of practice, and is still ongoing but if I look at my mind now in comparison to 10 years ago, what a difference!

Sin is the cause of evil works and what sin does is distance us from God. The more we live in our sin, the harder it is to be a pure conduit for His Spirit to work through. The ultimate goal of the enemy is to get one who is a believer to sin enough so that the believer goes back into denial of his own salvation. This is why the “once saved always saved” does not work. But no amount of sin is the reason for your salvation. The only way to be unsaved is through denying Christ, your Saviour.

Also, the more we sin, the harder it is to enter into The Kingdom of Heaven, now in this life. Many Christians have been deceived into believing that entering the Kingdom of Heaven is for when you die, but I say “why wait?” Did Yahushua not say that “the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand” meaning, it is within your grasp? Did He not say “truly I tell you to enter the Kingdom of Heaven one must be born again” meaning to become pure like a child in faith, letting your old unbelieving self die and the new man be born again so that you may enter The Kingdom of Heaven. Paul did it when he traversed what he called “the third heaven”, John did it when he traversed time and space seeing into the time of the end (book of Revelation). I do it when I have dreams, visions, and speak with The King of Glory. He said “The Kingdom of Heaven is within you” and what He meant by that is “The Kingdom of Heaven is within you”, so access it. I have many testimonies of entering into The Courts of Heaven, His Council, and other realms of His Kingdom which I will not share here in this article, but at a later time.

Understanding who He is and His ways allows us to walk in righteousness. Many Christians struggle with Mathew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me ‘Lord, Lord’ shall enter into The Kingdom of Heaven but he who does My Father’s will”. This scripture is revealing another example of those who do things in His name but not according to His ways. Those who do The Father’s will can have access to His Kingdom, those who do not will be cast into the outer darkness, not hell. Understanding what “outer darkness” means will be expanded on later in this chapter.

There are so many examples of Christians operating out of their own understanding, believing that they are doing His Will but are actually only doing what they believe to be correct, never listening to His Voice so that He may correct you. This is unrighteousness. One example is this: I had known a man we will call “Jim” who had been part of a ministry where people would gather and prophesy in Jesus’ Name. Jim was new to his faith and had learned how to hear God’s Voice. The ministry Jim was a part of would rent out a hotel meeting room and organize an event where the public would come to in order to receive a word from The Lord. Leaders of this ministry including Jim, stand at the front of the public and prophesy to them. There would be line ups of people each waiting their turn to get prophesied to. I was unaware of any of this as Jim and I had not spoken about this new thing he was into. I had a dream that, what Jim had been doing was lawlessness and King Yahushua did not approve.

I was sitting at a table with both the head of this ministry and Jim, and I was telling Jim that he needed to stop prophesying as he had been doing at these gatherings. I saw in Jim’s eyes something was wrong; his eyes were infected, they were red and sore looking. I knew because prophesying deals with the eyes, that Jim’s eyes being infected were a direct result of prophesying in a lawless way. When I told this to Jim he tried explaining to me what he had been doing, how he had been trained to do it this way. End Dream.

I waited for the opportunity to share this word with Jim, as Yahushua is always the one who sends me to deliver a word, I try never to do it in haste. I still did not know at this time that Jim had been at some kind of training and was now prophesying over people at this ministry. Then one day I was at work with Jim and he began telling me about what he had been learning, meaning the prophesying over people at the congregation. Jim then recited something and I had recorded this exact sentence in my dream almost word for word. I knew this was the opportunity Yahushua was opening up, to prove to Jim that it was indeed Him who had sent me. I then showed Jim my dream and how what he had just said was written, prophesied in my dream, word for word. I then told Jim “if you do not stop prophesying this way, your eyes will be affected”. Time went by and Jim chose not to heed God’s word and continued on with this ministry, prophesying in this way. Then it came that I had not seen Jim in over a year and the next time I saw him was at work. We worked indoors but when I saw Jim, he was wearing sun glasses. This was against the rules at our place of work so I asked him “why the shades?” Jim then explained to me that at some time (after our meeting) he began to get migraines so terrible that his eyes could no longer take any kind of bright light and he had received a medical exemption to wear sunglasses indoors out of an affliction to his eyes. I knew immediately what the root of this was but Jim seemed to be in complete denial of what had been prophesied to him just prior to this affliction. Unfortunately, because Jim did not heed Yahushua’s warning, he no longer had eyes to see, not physically nor spiritually.

Yahushua showed me that His Spirit is The Spirit of Prophecy (Revelation 19:10), He is the one who shows you what is to be prophesied and He is the one who gives you the timing, the plan and the purpose. Prophesying over crowd’s and having people line up to receive "a word" is a practice of lawlessness and is akin to fortune telling.

Another example of prophesying falsely was something I learned from a Christian song. In the song, they sing “now let us prophesy to the heavens, that the heavens open up and pour out a blessing”. Their claim is that we can prophesy from our own carnal needs to the heavens. I really enjoyed this song and thought that this was prophesying, to speak to the heavens the things you want to come. Yahushua corrected me immediately, lovingly chastising me into the truth of the matter: we cannot prophesy out of our own carnality, He is The Only One who can give us the prophecy. And once again, He will be the one to send you, in His timing, to deliver the prophesy. Prophesying His way is righteousness, all other ways are considered unrighteous.

Mathew 7:21-23 Many will say to Me in that day "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your Name?"... but I will say "depart from Me, I never knew you, worker of lawlessness"

As I mentioned prior, there is a place for people who have been unprofitable servants, a realm of the kingdom for those who were saved but chose not to know God. This realms of heaven is called the “outer darkness”, and is found three times in scripture: Mathew 8:12, 22:13 and 25:30. In all three examples Jesus is likening the parable to… The Kingdom of Heaven! How can hell be a part of heaven? Simple, it isn't. In all three examples, the person being cast into the outer darkness was an unprofitable servant. All of them were servants, people who came into His presence but chose not to be profitable in what they had been given. “Outer darkness” is a poor English translation of what is being said and a more precise translation would be “a place most distant from His Presence”. The outer darkness is not a physical darkness at all, but a place of lacking and exclusion. It is symbolic for a realm in heaven where one does not get to be close to The Father because they were an unprofitable servant, they are cast away from His presence and they shall weep. There will be a gnashing of teeth when the soul realizes how simple it was to walk according to righteousness but instead chose to walk in their own ways.

2 Timothy 2:20 There are many realms in our Father’s house (The Kingdom of Heaven), and in His House there are vessels which have brought Him honor, and vessels which have brought Him dishonor .
